7 Day Safari to Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater & Serengeti - With Flight
This safari itinerary is recommended for the discerning traveller visiting from May to the end of June - as this is when the migration is expected to be in the Grumeti Region.
Arrival
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).
Once you have completed customs formalities and collected your luggage, please exit the airport building and then look out for our driver who should be wearing a black Team Kilimanjaro t-shirt and carrying a placard with your name on it, who will be waiting under a shelter for you at the meeting point outside. Our driver will transfer you to Outpost Lodge for your first night stay.
24th July 2026: if requested, your safari driver will come to your hotel at 1800 to brief you about the next few days events and to answer any questions you may have about your safari arrangements.
Safari
25th July 2026: Pick up at around 0730 from your hotel in Arusha for transfer by vehicle to Tarangire National Park for game drives. Late afternoon transfer to Nasikia Ndovu Tented Camp for dinner and overnight stay.
26th July 2026: Morning game drives within Tarangire National Park. Afternoon transfer to Ngorongoro Crater rim for your overnight at Angata Ngorongoro Camp.
27th July 2026: Early morning descent into Crater for game drives in hopes of witnessing the Big 5. In Africa, the Big Five is made up of the lion, rhinoceros, leopard, elephant and Cape buffalo. All of these animals are viewable within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, including the crater and are protected thanks to the wildlife conservation efforts of Tanzania.
Afternoon transfer to Central Serengeti with authentic visit to the Maasai Boma, Olduvai Gorge and Shifting sands en route to Seronera region.
Overnight at Angata Serengeti Camp.
28th July 2026: Early morning transfer to launch site for hot air balloon ride in aerial pursuit of the Great Migration.
Afternoon game drives en route to the Mara region of Serengeti for dinner and your first night's stay at Kenzan Mara Migration Tented Camp.
29th July 2026: Enjoy an early morning walking safari in Serengeti.
Followed by game drives in the Mara region of the Serengeti, where you will witness the heart of the Great Wildebeest Migration as vast herds gather to cross the crocodile-infested Mara River.
Late afternoon transfer to TWC Mara Under Canvas for dinner and overnight.
30th July 2026: After a leisurely breakfast at your accommodation, morning game drives in the heart of the Wildebeest Migration. Afternoon game drives in the Mara region.
Late afternoon return to Kenzan Luxury Mobile Camp for dinner and overnight stay.
31st July 2026: Morning game drives en-route Kogatende Airstrip for your flight with Coastal Aviation, arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO)
