8 Day TK Lemosho Climb With a 6 Day Safari to Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire & Lake Manyara - With Flight

This safari itinerary is recommended for the discerning traveller visiting from July to October - as this is when the migration is expected to be in the Mara Region - and who wants to minimise wasted transiting time in the vehicle.

Arrival

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).

Once you have completed customs formalities and collected your luggage, please exit the airport building and then look out for our driver who should be wearing a black Team Kilimanjaro t-shirt and carrying a placard with your name on it, who will be waiting under a shelter for you at the meeting point outside. Our driver will transfer you to The Outpost Lodge for your first night stay.

Your mountain guide and supporting crew will collect you from your hotel at approximately 0730 to transfer you to Kilimanjaro's Lemosho Gate to start your open 8 day TK Lemosho ‘Advantage Series’ climb.

We will collect you from Mweka Village when you finish your climb and will return you to The Outpost Lodge for your overnight stay.

Optional: if requested, your safari guide will come to The Outpost Lodge for your pre-climb briefing at approximately 1800, during which he will introduce himself, brief you on everything that will be happening during the safari, and answer any questions you may have.

Safari

You will be collected from your hotel at approximately 0545 for transfer by vehicle to Arusha Airport (ARK) for flight at 0745 to Serengeti - Kogatende Airstrip arriving at 0855.

Late morning game drives within the northern Serengeti in pursuit of the Wildebeest Migration, to include patrols along the Mara River in the hope of witnessing the the River Crossing - the annual highlight of the world’s safari calendar.

Late afternoon transfer to Mawe's Gnu Migration Camp for your first nights stay.

(Optional) - Early morning transfer to launch site for hot air balloon ride in aerial pursuit of the Great Migration.

Or, you will have full day game drives in the Kogatende Region of Serengeti in the heart of the Wildebeest Migration.

Late afternoon return to Mawe's Gnu Migration Camp for dinner and overnight.

Morning transfer with game drives en route to central Serengeti. Later afternoon transfer to Serengeti Kati Kati for your overnight in the Seronera Region.

Early morning transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with visit to the Maasai boma, Olduvai Gorge and Shifting Sands.

Late afternoon transfer to the Crater Rim for your overnight stay at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge.

Early morning descent into Crater for game drives in hopes of witnessing the Big 5. In Africa, the Big Five is made up of the lion, rhinoceros, leopard, elephant and Cape buffalo. All of these animals are viewable within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, including the crater and are protected thanks to the wildlife conservation efforts of Tanzania.

Afternoon transfer to Tarangire for your overnight stay at Mawe's Baobab Tented Camp.

In the morning, you will be met by a guide for 1 to 4 hours guided game walk and game viewing. Afternoon to your hotel in Arusha for your overnight stay.

Departure

You’ll need to check-out of your hotel by late morning, however, if you wish to wander into town for the day, you may leave your bags with reception and may continue to use the hotel’s facilities. Please let us know if you need a guide to accompany you or if you wish to organise any special activities today.

Please be ready to be collected for your airport transfer at least 3 hours before, to ensure sufficient time to check-in for your flight (TBA) departing JRO / ARK.
