8 Day TK Lemosho Climb With 5 Day Safari to Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater

Arrival
24th August 2025: Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).
Once you have completed customs formalities and collected your luggage, please exit the airport building and then look out for our driver who should be wearing a black Team Kilimanjaro t-shirt and carrying a placard with your name on it, who will be waiting under a shelter for you at the meeting point outside. Our driver will transfer you to The Outpost Lodge for your over night.
Arusha National Park
25th August 2025: Collected from your hotel in Arusha at around 0730. Transferred by vehicle to Arusha National Park Gate for registration. Proceed with vehicle to viewpoint at end of vehicle track.
From here, we walk towards the Ash Cone, to an altitude of around 2,400 metres, with picnic lunch along the way, achieving a useful, low intensity acclimatisation day prior to starting your Kilimanjaro climb tomorrow.
On a clear day, this vantage point affords excellent views of Kilimanjaroโs peak, 42 miles away.
After lunch, descend on foot to vehicle and begin a short safari around the Momella Lakes where we hope to see some of the following: giraffe, elephant, hippo, buffalo, zebra and wildebeest.
Arusha Town and Coffee Tour
26th August 2025: Early morning pick by TK driver and transferred to Arusha for town tour with guide, concluding with a Bean to Cup coffee planation tour at Onesmo's Coffee Plantation. Overnight at Outpost Lodge.
Your chief guide will come to your hotel for your pre-climb briefing at approximately 1800, during which he will introduce himself, brief you on everything that will be happening throughout the duration of the climb, check any kit that you may have concerns over, issue any kit hire items that have been requested and he will also deal with any final pre-climb administration and answer any questions you may have.
Kilimanjaro
27th August 2025: Your mountain guide and supporting crew will collect you from your hotel at approximately 0730 to transfer you to Kilimanjaro's Lemosho Gate to start your open 8 day TK Lemosho climb, finishing on 3rd September 2025.

3rd September 2025: We will collect you from Mweka Village when you finish your climb and will return you to The Outpost Lodge for your overnight stay.
Optional: Your safari guide will come to your hotel for your pre-safari briefing at approximately 1800, during which he will introduce himself, brief you on everything that will be happening during the safari, and answer any questions you may have.
Safari
4th September 2025: Your safari guide will pick you up from Outpost Lodge in Arusha around 0700 for your transfer to Tarangire National Park for a guided game walk and game viewing.
Late afternoon, you will be transferred to Ziwani Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
5th September 2025: Very early morning transfer from your lodge to a location recently reconnoitred by your local Eyasi guide, where we will find some Hadzabe Bushmen hunters to join on their morning hunt, learning aspects of hunting and survival training along the way. Afterwards, we move to a larger settlement where we meet the Hadzabe ladies and learn some of their foraging skills.
Late afternoon transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for overnight at EAC Pakulala Luxury Camp on the Crater's rim.
6th September 2025: Early morning descend into the Crater with a hot packed breakfast and a game drive in hopes of witnessing the Big 5. In Africa, the Big Five is made up of the lion, rhinoceros, leopards, elephant and Cape buffalo. All of these animals are viewable within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, including the crater and are protected thanks to the wildlife conservation efforts of Tanzania.
Afternoon transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for overnight at EAC Pakulala Luxury Camp.
7th September 2025: Morning transfer to central Serengeti with visit to the Maasai boma, Olduvai Gorge and Shifting sands en route to Seronera region.
Late afternoon transfer to Lake Manyara for your overnight at Tortilis Camp Lake Manyara with game drives en route.
8th September 2025: Morning game drives in Lake Manyara. Afternoon transfer to Outpost Lodge in Arusha.

Departure
Youโll need to check out of your hotel by late morning. However, if you wish to wander into town for the day, you may leave your bags with reception and may continue to use the hotelโs facilities. Please let us know if you need a guide to accompany you or if you wish to organise any special activities today.
Please be ready to be collected for your airport transfer at least 3 hours before, to ensure sufficient time to check-in for your flight departing JRO / ARK.
