3 Day Meru, 5 Day Rongai, 2 Day Safari to Manyara and Ngorongoro

Arrival to Tanzania
13th December 2025: Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) at 1930.
Once you have completed customs formalities and collected your luggage, please exit the airport building and then look out for our driver who should be wearing a black Team Kilimanjaro t-shirt and carrying a placard with your name on it, who will be waiting under a shelter for you at the meeting point outside. Our driver will transfer you to your hotel in Arusha for your overnight stay.
Your chief guide will come to your hotel for your pre-climb briefing at approximately 1800, during which he will introduce himself, brief you on everything that will be happening throughout the duration of the climb, check any kit that you may have concerns over, issue any kit hire items that have been requested and he will also deal with any final pre-climb administration and answer any questions you may have.
Mount Meru Climb
14th December 2025: Transferred around 1 hour 30 minutes to Arusha National Park for registration at Momella Gate. After collecting a ranger, we drive to the viewpoint to begin our trek through rainforest into the the heart of the collapsed crater. After lunch we proceed to Miriakamba Hut for overnight at 2,541m.
15th December 2025: After breakfast, morning ascent of Little Meru 3,820m for acclimatisation. Descend to Saddle Hut for overnight at 3,564m.
16th December 2025: Midnight departure for the summit at 4,566m. Descend to Miriakamba Hut for refreshments. Continue descent to vehicle collection point for return to your hotel in Arusha for overnight.

Kilimanjaro Climb
17th December 2025: Your mountain guide and supporting crew will collect you from your hotel at approximately 0730 to transfer you to Kilimanjaro's Rongai Gate to start your open 5 day Rongai climb.
21st December 2025: We will collect you from Marangu Gate when you finish your climb and will return you to Four Points by Sheraton Hotel (own booking and payment), Arusha, for your overnight stay.
Optional: If requested, your safari guide will come to your hotel at approximately 1800, during which he will introduce himself, brief you on everything that will be happening during the safari, and answer any questions you may have.
Safari Overview
22nd December 2025: Your safari driver will collect you at around 0730 from your hotel in Arusha and transfer you to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. Late afternoon transfer to Marriotts' Turaco Ngorongoro Valley for dinner and overnight.
23rd December 2025: Early morning, descend into the Crater for a game drive in hopes of witnessing the Big 5. In Africa, the Big Five comprises the lion, rhinoceros, leopard, elephant and Cape buffalo. All of these animals are viewable within the Ngorongoro Crater and are protected, thanks to the wildlife conservation efforts of Tanzania.
Late afternoon transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport in time to check-in early for your departing flight at 2325. There is a basic lounge at JRO for airport lounge-scheme members.
